YAY! Muji... I have bought tickets for hubby and me to go see one of our favourite bands LIVE at an open-air concert on the 27th December!! LOL... they are called "The Fallen"...

It should be a bit of a good challenge... neither hubby or I (both have PTSD) like crowds or people... but we both adore music.

Hubby is going deaf (ex Airforce so hearing damage from working with loud engines) but they should be loud enough that he enjoys the music too... Hey! We can always stand in front of a base speaker... lol

YayYay!! My team won! I sat alone in the crowd, but a young woman fan next to me high-fived me, and then a nice couple took a picture with me afterward, so I wasn't all alone, in a way. So glad I went. It took a lot of screwing up the old courage to go out in the world in a crowd, but it made sense to try it after what I've learned here about us with PTSD. I had a minute of flashbacks at the end, so I waited for the crowd to thin out ahead of me and calmed myself down. It worked.

Caballita, you and your hubby are going to love that concert. Let us know all about it on the 28th!

Thanks! It was great to have you as witnesses to my getting out and about. Every time I challenge myself to do that, I almost chicken out at the last minute. EVERY time. But then I just push myself out the door, and I'm always glad I did.

With actual Christmas coming, though, I find everything is closed so everybody can be with their families. Which I can't be. So I'll definitely be here for support through Christmas Eve and Day, and to offer support to anyone else who may be alone, too.

I'm so proud of you that you were able to do it. You inspire me often. I know how it feels not to have family and friends to do Christmas with. I've been there. This year in May I got married and we will be spending Christmas with her kids and I wish we weren't. I wish we could spend Christmas alone together. She would never consider doing that and it would cause problems if I didn't go. Maybe down the road it won't and I could actually spend time alone even though part of me would be lonely. Be good to yourself Muji. My thoughts and heart will be with you. Hugs
