Thank you so much for your reply. I will rest a little easier now. I start the week of the 11th. Next week is my last week at my old job that is highly stressful for me.

After I'd been diagnosed with PTSD for 6 years and had weekly insurance claims on my insurance record and lots of meds on it, too, I went for a job that required pysch screening. It was a job as a hospital chaplain, so with good reason. But I thought my PTSD would rule me out from working at a level 4 trauma medical center. I mean, trauma, after all.

It turned out fine. HIPA privacy laws are actually effective in some cases, and employment is one.

Having been a trauma survivor turned out to be an asset on the job, not a liability. Please don't misunderstand that I opened my PTSD life up to everybody. No. The stigma's still there. But I learned that employment issues may be one of the few places we may have the protection we deserve everywhere.

Thanks for your reply. I was nervous because of the nature of the job (child/adolescent psych) but it sounds more and more promising I will keep you all posted!!
