Hello, fellow PTSD'ers! Been going through Hell but have had many breakthroughs recently.
Keep the faith. Get a support animal - mine save my life every day ...
And have fun!
What do you do for fun? For pure joy?
For me, every cup of tea is a miracle.
Blessings to all here. Sending you LOVE from someone who really understands.

Do you think having anxiety could lead into depression? What are your thoughts?

I don't really enjoy myself very often to be honest (anxiety is usually a factor pretty much always) but when I do I might be drawing or writing fiction or talking to God (my faith is very important and also can give me a sense of peace at times). I love to play with my pet. What else do you like to do?
@Ash - My heart breaks for you because I have been (and still frequently go to) the place you're in right now. There are no words anyone can say to help. People trying to "help" really pisses me off so I respect your space and won't say anything more than "You are loved". I am saying a prayer now, special for you ... 2:42pm EST ... please let me know if my prayer was answered <3
maybe park THAT sucker around the corner or maybe in a nother neighborhood.
i'm sorry about my response; i reacted instead of responding. i'm in protect mode/battle stance/all systems ready
you brought some nice news, thank you for doing that
you came on over and brought hope and support animals and yourself, which we want and welcome, gentle hugs, get on in here : )
@SunCloud - thank you for sharing the gratitude prayer Light and Blessings <3
Note I of clarification - my support animals are strays with zero "training" for PTSD support. They are my miracles, each with their own unique, rascally, personality.
Note II of clarification - the idea to ponder "what do I like to do for fun?" came out of my last counseling session. Studies show, time and again, that our thoughts form our reality. My homework this week is to 1) notice when an intrusive negative thought dares reach its tentacles over the boundary of my consciousness 2) turn the noticing into a reminder to ask myself "what can I do right now to have fun? 3) do that fun thing.
Love to ALL here <3
i am going to need to continue from our private conversation, PrivateCommitment.
yes, it is a truth that members here may be easily triggered by comments made to them. that is true.
i don't know and you do not need to ever tell anyone here what your trauma(s) are, but some/all of us here have suffered enough that we have been caused psychiatric injurie(s) enough that we may react somehow.
NO, these people, WE do not need to be PROTECTED from the internet.
ASTONISHINGLY WE ARE ALLOWED TO GO OUT AND ABOUT AND EVEN SOME OF US ARE ALLOWED TO HAVE JOBS AND EVERYTHING.
ima try to forget about the whole eyeroll incident
