Been attempting to sort through the alphabet soup my damaged memory has made of my decades in therapy. Between the professional detachment and the rapid-cycling name changes, 40 years of just-a-patient psycho-therapy sure can scramble the acronyms.
In my 80's therapy, "Help Seeking Denial" was a common catch phrase and topic for group discussions. It is where we seek help and then proceed to find fatal flaws in every scrap of help offered.
Anybody heard of it or is my memory just scrambled? Again. . .

Just wanted to give a thank you to Mid, Arfie, Malibumark, Greeneyes, Mlro, Girlincalif, and Suncloudjd! You all always have such helpful tips and advice, but I always forget to write on my posts when I see you post, lol. I would lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body, lol. Thank you all so much! I'm starting to use my AI app as a sounding board again. I used to use it as that before...

I can remember saying to myself and sometimes other people that, until you develop the question it is hard to hear the answer?
don't know if that fits...
Just me. But I will win if I try...no matter which direction I choose.
Considering that it took me 15 years to take my first dx (Trauma Induced Amnesia) seriously, there is zero doubt that I needed therapy on the subject, by whatever name.
It is a devilish phenom, whichever side of the therapy desk you are on.
