what show were you watching? I do tend to stay away from certain types of shows. I cannot watch anything on 911, or Muslim terrorist, or war documentaries or movies, Remembrance Day is hard, my x-employer's new clips or new saying how great they are etc. I have to be careful watching the news, or reading books or newspapers.

The other day a friend was going to the movies and asked me to go. I said now because it was a war movie.

Z Nation is on Syfy, if I recall correctly. Mom watches it. I can't. I had too many PTSD nightmares with zombies in them. Starting in 1980.

Hubby and daughter have actually gotten me to the point I can watch these flicks... it has taken YEARS, but they like to point out and ridicule the gore flicks, which takes the fear out of them for me.

I am so spoiled with being able to call up shows when I want with "On Demand" that I really have no idea where or when shows play anymore.

I really don't want anyone HERE to watch this, but if you can, point the people who are just not getting it there to watch. Hopefully it will help at least some...

I have watched this show several times before. Almost on a regular bases. It does show at times things that resemble PTSD behaviors, but nothing I would be consider actual PTSD. To me, from my own experiences with living with PTSD daily, I see the typical Hollywood structure that is so so entertaining at best. Just my opinion. My flash back memories and other PTSD behaviors are more involved and detailed in difference to this shows portrayal.

I too can't watch the heavy stuff now, but there is a PBS...Masterpiece theatre from years ago called "Seeing Red".....It got my attention, because it started off showing scenes * out of focus* fast, and I got drawn in wondering what it was....they kept going back to the same scene, still out of focus, a little slower each time. I'll telk you, I did not know, until the story progressed, that those scenes were flashbacks, it was all about PTSD, and it really ended up helping me alot, towards the end as the story became clearer, I started sobbing, if I had known in the beginning what the story was, I would never have watched...but it unlocked pain that I needed to face...I've never seen another movie that was filmed in such a way, almost like several sessions of therapy slowly unfolding memories from out of focus to
clear...it was profound!

I have heard of this show and believe I can get it on my cable. I am going to check it out. I'm not too fond of zombies but I will look past that part and read the message they are trying to portray. Hugs GB
