I went to the big medical center an hour away and spent the morning with kidney doctors who cleared me for a summer in Mexico where I hope to retire in 2 years.  Then I spent the afternoon with post stomach surgery doctors who ultimately did the same by the end of the day.  I'm really going, then, day after tomorrow.  I'm tired because I've had insomnia in general lately, as you all know, and I didn't sleep well last night because I was anxious about whether today's doctors would let me go to Mexico.  But I got the go ahead, so I'm tired but really excited.

My suitcase is packed, my passport's laid out, and my plane tickets are bought to leave on Saturday.  All I have to do is fill out my end of school year Professional Development Plan for my boss at the community college where I teach and give it to her tomorrow.
