Freaked out by watching news again

With all the rallies in Georgia, the state next door, and my local representatives in the news pledging to help Trump overturn the election, not caring that not everyone in Alabama would support this, I'm just freaked out. I'm scared local people will return from superspreader events and spread COVID-19 or cause mayhem when Biden is elected. I'm scared that many are packing a loaded gun and looking for trouble. 


also triggered by genealogy research. There was always doubt about who my great grandfather was. I finally found answers after an unexpected DNA match. I shared some information with my aunt, but it made me sad when she wanted to know more because I don't think it's possible. My DNA match, my late father's nephew once removed, not only didn't answer my message, but his whole family tree has disappeared as well. Maybe I shouldn't assume anything, but it just reminds me of the whole suspicious attitude of Alabamians.



I know I should stop reading news stories

Change channels. Definitely a good idea. And, yeah, it's crazy what people are saying/thinking, and my PTSD is on red alert. Symapthetic purrs from the puma (who wishes she could disappear, but darn it... No.)

I agree that I can only watch news now for short periods a couple of times a week......xo

Yeah, I watch the morning news world in 90 seconds report every morning just to know what's going on in general, and then I switch to watching last night's talk shows for the joke monologues and to know what new movies and books are coming out, dsf95. It takes a lot of humor, movies, and books to balance out the impact of the news for me these days, but that routine is what's working for me.

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
