Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Support Group
Find support with others who have gone through a traumatic experience. Whether you have chronic or acute PTSD, we are here for you.

The parents of my grandchildren are divorce dancing. Dunno what the results of that drama will be, nor is it mine to sort in any event. Prayers in progress. The GK's (2 & 5) are in protective custody with the other grandparents and Hubs and I are preparing for our first week with them since the police took the children away from both parents. We don't know the other grandparents very well. We live 3 hours away from that family center, so visits are not easily arranged. Not yet, anyway. We are verily clueless how the children are reacting to the separation and . . . It feels like I am dealing with far more unknowns than knowns. Girl howdy, my anxiety is running high.
What I call, "My Control Freakitis" has crept to the top of my Mindfulness list this week. My unfocused energy is desperate for certainty and my raging emotions are desperate for validation. I find myself trying to force 6 foot pieces into 4 foot spaces and getting hysterical when somebody suggests a measuring tape. Mind your pronouns. I *will* correct you, whether ^it^ matters, or knot.
Saluting all psycho nag flags. . . Plying therapy tools. . .
Please no advice. The pro advisors who are already involved have me confused enough already.
Could use reminders of therapy tools and calming techniques.
Support and prayers (by whatever name) needed.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Sigh. . .
Breathing. . .
I will be praying for you & the grandchildren many prayers
Gentlest of gentlest hugs
The cattle who live in the rented pastureland surrounding the dilapidated old ranch compound I have been remodeling have been leaking through the fences into the compound. I mostly don't mind, but the mostly hit my limit when they knocked over a bee colony just before I chased five of them out of the barn which holds my workshop. Commercial cattle are not the most graceful critters ever bio-engineered. Ya doesn't wanna trust them with a work bench, toolbox or even a bee colony.
I felt your prayers as I walked the fence line, looking for the cow leak and plying the cow patches to the fence. Got lost in metaphor a time or 30. Good metaphor.
This morning feels much calmer. No change in circumstance, but my calmer wake up this morning make me believe acceptance and tolerance are back on top again. Still saluting all psycho nag flags. Alas, my psychoses don't have clear clicks to let me know when everything has fallen in to place.
^It^ is what ^it^ is, whether I understand ^it^ or knot.
Thanks again for the support and prayers, guys.
Glad you got the gift of calm and feeling acceptance and tolerance have the upper hand again. There's nothing like having that gift arrive just when you need it.
