We placed! Our little film is going to the Best Of showing this Wednesday.
My husband got behind-the-scenes footage of the entire process and it struck me today while I was watching it that we used pretty much every single idea that THB (triggering human being) railed against. Plus I stood up for myself quite nicely.
The film has such a sweet, positive story. At our group screening this past week we were last (!) and got the longest applause (!!) and a few people came up to us and told our DirectorFriend how much they enjoyed it (!!!) so I feel very good about our chances.
My mum pointed out that the world is starving for happiness right now. Even if we don't win anything, I'm very proud that we struck a blow for the return of positivity and made a beautiful film.

Congratulations to you, your husband and the entire crew. That is wonderful news and a testament to all of the hard work the entire crew put in. Yes the world is starving for happiness. We never hear about it because it is not juicy enough to make the headlines. But there is a lot more good in the world than there is bad, or so I choose to believe anyway.
