When health stuff sends me to the doctor even when it's not directly PTSD related, it stirs me up. So I'm proud of myself that I went to the doctor today after two weeks of messed up vision in my right eye.
Turns out it looks like I've got a cataract and will need cataract surgery in February. I know, it happens to a lot of people. I'm just proud that I got myself to the doctor about it even though it was triggering the heck out of me every day for two weeks with the symptoms, living alone and all.
Just needed to vent. I'll be back to vent about it when my eye surgery appointment comes in February, too. Thanks, y'all. Venting here really helps.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
You're right: they have this cataract surgery stuff _down_. In fact, my mother just had both done in the last 6wks.
Perfect result. She says her 'new' vision is just amazing.

I know my eyes adjust slower when I am tired, sleep has not been my friend, but it really scared me.
I still don't need to wear glasses at my age, but cataracts, degenerative retinas and glaucoma have nothing to do with focus.
I am so glad they are getting better with that procedure though, my SIL just had both eyes done in the last year. Let us know when you get closer to date!
