Hey guys I'm new to this site but I was relieved when I saw a group for PTSD. I was abused by my boyfriend of a year the whole time we were together, and six weeks ago I got the support I needed to finally cut off all contact with him. He still reaches out to me, and every time he does I'm left paralyzed and sometimes unable to move or breath. Sometimes I break down crying, sometimes I get suicidal or numb thoughts. I've also started to feel really anxious around men, even or especially my father, and whenever a man moves to touch me or makes a demeaning or sexual comment towards me I get the same paralyzed feeling. I really don't know how to make the PTSD go away, but I'm praying it does sometime soon because I hate living in fear of the next panic attack or time where I'll feel paralyzed.

Woke up feeling very emotional and about to clock in at my place of employment. And can't place it all in writing but not been a good experience with my store manager or his boss. Defamation of my character is a concern. I've been losing appetite and weight. Trying to perform at work to keep myself from hospitalization as a result of toxic masculinity.

I didn't get proper therapy myself until after 2 divorces. Until then I chose partners who were just like my family of origin because it was all I knew of marriage. That meant that, though I'm a guy, I chose partners who were violent enough to put me at serious risk. One of them, for example, made the news because she fired a pistol seven times at the neighbor's house. The neighbor's dog was barking too much for her. Yeah, I made some bad choices of partners.
The good news is that the last one I mention above woke me up and I learned to cut off contact and stay cut off. Eventually, I also learned to cut off contact with my violent family of origin. It was just in time, too, because they got themselves deported back to the States from the mission field by the government of the country abroad where they'd worked. It was a shameful scandal for me, but it did validate that if that government had had enough of them, it was OK for me to say I'd had enough of them, too.
I'm not holding myself up as any example, but I don't date any more. I have the same issues you mention about being touched and how I tend to take comments hard in intimate settings. It's a choice, I present myself to the world as a friendly old bachelor instead, and that works for me. I'm not saying "never," I might get interested in dating again. But learning at least to stop making the wrong choices has been right for me.
