within the psychic flu theories i have shared here a time or fifty, my current episode might have reached the recovery phase. maybe. tests for this particular bug are not yet available, so guesses are all we have to work with. my guess is based on the fact that i slept reasonably well last night, had a nummy nap today and was able to eat small portions all day long. i ate yesterday, as well. nothing to rock a dietician's boat, but i was able to eat.
the decks on my little ship of fools haven't been swabbed for ? ? ? two weeks ? ? ? the clutter on those floors is still light enough that i can still shuffle the kid toys out of the walkways, but bending over to pick them up feels like more work than my tired bones can handle. that floor keeps getting further away and . . . a few more old geezer yaddahs. young-at-heart geezer, of course. i don't have a cardiologist to argue with me, so the old ticker must still be young.
sigh. . . don't rush the convelesence. . .
i think i can leave the mood icon squarely on "okay." i've been better, but i believe i am making the best of a bad situation. singing along with ray stevens. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0kiqmpA0ew

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

my morning meditations remain a bit chaotic, but i made it through in time to shift gears before it was time to wake up the roosters. thank the powers that i don't have to launch the school day today. according to big bro, our peaceful warrior, martin luther king, brought us a snow day as a gift of rest. i'll buy that theory. no bidding wars, please. never mind that today is a southern snow day. the snow has mostly melted already. no roads to plow, though there are probably in need of the salt trucks local cities havenae bothered to invest in. our icy conditions pass quickly enough that we can just wait out the unsafe conditions. meanwhile. . . it isn't often we get to teach the children about the different flavors of snow and ice. not to interrupt your mad scientist research with pesky details, but this fluffy stuff isnae quite the same stuff we buy at the hawiian shaved ice stand. their food coloring has some extra ingredients, as well.
off-topic
baby sis (5) connected the dots that that fluffy stuff was the stuff of snow cones. that fluffy stuff was just enough different that it didn't make much of a snow cone, but that wasn't for lack of trying on her part. by the time i snatched the food coloring away from her, there was far more food coloring on the cabinet than there was showing on the top of her snow cone. there was plenty of food coloring beneath the surface of her glass of fluffy stuff.
My physical convalescence is currently mirrored by a further psychological injury.
But I ecall adding kool-aid powder to snow as a child for a snow cone, and it wasn't really all bad. I feel for you..
another memory chimes that your childhood was a bit deeper into snow country than my orphan's current foster home on the southern great plains. i don't care to do the research, but i'll bet the snow you added kool aid powder to was closer to the stuff baby sister buys at the snow cone stand.
just guessing through a psychotic fog. . .
I think we're around the sane age and these old bones can sure protest at times
I hope that you feel better soon and have a good nap today as well
I hope that you feel better to Leo
Sending hugs...xo
small steps, big faith and lots of prayer. letting god lead the dance.
i've been listening to the children while they play and letting their laughter guide.
update
back to school this morning and still feeling shaky, but methinks i'm holding steady. another nummy nap yesterday and a solid sleep last night. the gut knots are still painful and appetite sketchy, but recovery takes time.
within the psychic flu theories, it is a good thing that i am feeling all the physical stress aches today. it means i am literally returning to my physical senses. during a flu bout, i can't really feel such trivial details such as hunger, shortness of breath, etcetera, etceteri.
sometimes feeling worse is a symptom of getting better.
at least. . . that's my theory and i'm sticking to it.
for what it's worth
i stole that last line from a CW song and gently edited it for multi-purposing. i hate the song, but that particular line is quite catchy.

wandering wonder
why is it that so many people who want me to be sensible ask me to ignore my physical senses?
