Complex Processing - Update II

The turns in my chicken hobby are still evolving alongside the challenges of retirement planning while parenting middle-aged children. So far so good? Don't much feel like listing, much less analyzing all the evolutions just now. The list is much longer than it is interesting. I am working to keep the focus on holding a steady course through choppy waters. Easy does it. I have been leaning on my live support net through this round. Methinks I need eye contact and fleshy hugs for this round.

Been using allot of slogans lately. Familiar words attached to personal meaning. "K.I.S.S." is the moldy oldie which has been floating through my meditation this morning. "Keep It Simple, Silly."

Still processing. . . Just an update. . .

Keep on processing Arfie, it sounds like you are making progress. I like the K.I.S.S. and "not my monkey, not my circus". Something about saying out loud, not my monkey not my circus just lifts the tensions and stress of the situations. It gives me permission not to take on that responsibility. Keep up the good work

Hugs arfie, I don't know if I am processing or escaping on my bus travels from neighbors I want to avoid...."beam me up scotty"...my mantra...but I don't have children, so , much support to you in processing, complex that is and hard! More Hugs!

Yah, arf, those 12 step slogans sure come in handy to get by in the day to day in between our brilliant flashes of profound insight, don't they? Ha! I love them. K.I.S.S. is one of my faves to balance out the complex processing you mention.

Others? You already covered "easy does it."

I like "plan plans but don't plan results." That's a good one, too.

Thanks for bringing up the slogans, tomorrow being hump day Wednesday at school and all.

I like the KISS too Arfie, it applies to many things in life. So often we look back and think..What? The solution is so obvious in hindsight. The mediation I think helps the truth and intuition come out, very helpful for PTSD.

Progress not perfection.

I first learned, the "K.I.S.S." in engineering rooms. The second S was most often, "Shit head" and typically applied for the Wunderkind, fresh out of engineering school and still high on their own proven abilities to add complexities for the sake of bells and whistles. Zoom, zoom.

There are middle-aged romance dramas floating through the homestead this week. I hate it when both parties vent at me. Gives my "Ears open, mouth shut" mantra a serious workout. I keep wanting to say, "No, he/she said____." Supplemented the "Ears open, mouth shut" with another slogan I picked up in Ecuador.

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
