CKD Pain Day Again From PTSD Meds Overdose

It was one of those days for me to be the king of pain.  My PTSD kept me from getting much sleep last night, so that made my CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease) pain worse today.  Ouch.  I only walked 1.5km of the 3km goal yesterday.  My s/o surprised me with yummy Chinese food from downtown when she got home, and her 13 year old son's going to get me out for a walk with the dog.


Today I hope I can walk 2km and then build back up to how I was walking 3km daily again like I did so much in the last few weeks.


Support welcome.  This happens chronically, it seems.  It really helps when y'all assist me through it.

Ouch Muji! I know how that feels when your body just doesn't want to cooperate. It seems like no matter how much we try, we can't convince a body to behave itself. Hang in there my friend.

Mujica, I'm not much of a support and or of help on here other than to acknowledge your presence and to share in the making as a prosocial being and not just a bot in the making. I just want to mention, you seem young to be under such a chronic situation, however, it is nice to see you have a significant other that can accommodate your linking and does seem to share her most valuable and precious son to help in your healing and relaxing journey. It is nice to see someone else look out for their loved one/s. I always, wish you health and wellness from across cyberspace.

I slept 9 hours last night and that relieved some of the CKD pain I had, thank goodness. I got out with my s/o's son and walked 2.12km yesterday even with the CKD going on, so I hope I can get up to my daily 3km with him today. He's a really good kid to do this with me for an hour and a half out of his time after school.

I'm resurrecting this thread from 21 days ago--3 weeks--on purpose to draw attention to the fact that I need support with this because it's a chronic and not a curable PTSD-derived health issue. For the last 3 days I've had this same CKD pain again big time. I usually get my cane out and walk 3km per day just to keep moving forward, but I simply couldn't in these last 3 days. I knew that as CKD progressed and I chose not to do dialysis in order to have the more free life instead, I would end up as an ill shut-in. I'm just 64 and so I'm not ready for that to be right now if there's anything I can do about it, though. Support welcome.

Oh, boy, the CKD pain was such that I only slept 3 hours last night. Past experience tells me spikes in chronic pain like this do pass. Looking for this one to pass asap.

    Does anyone here have a comfort item you carry with you when you go out? For example this is my doll, Annie, and I've recently been bringing her with me when I run errrands flor have an appointment. Holding her comforts me. I've bought her clothes, crocheted for her, I recently bought a personalized blanket with her name on it.  Just wondering if anyone else has a comfort item.
