Tuesday morning at 9a.m. I have that big meeting about my PTSD ADA accommodation with my department chair and my dean at the college where I teach.
Yup, that again. I got them to postpone it until tomorrow because I have a psychiatrist's appointment in the afternoon as backup in case it triggers me.
I took the advice of folks here and let go of worrying about it for the past 2 weeks. Now it's about to happen, so I'm just asking for your support. It's crunch time. Thanks.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Much Much Support and Prayers.
i will pray about this as soon as i log out for the night, knowing your meeting will happen before i'm awake with our time difference.
praying that this will be a bit of nothing meeting and you are as comfortable as you would be having coffee with friends chatting about nothing in particular.
No doubt I echo silver to ground yourself & I will add
Believe in and stand up for yourself
With you in spirit Tuesday
I can't think of anything else except to get through the meeting now saying as little as possible. The work overload has been reduced to a normal load for 2 weeks now, so I don't know what the point of having it is, is the thing.
It's as if it were designed to create anticipation anxiety, you know? I know it's not, I know it's ignorance behind it, not persecution. Any bosses with any sense would do exactly the opposite with a coworker who admitted to having PTSD.
They wouldn't have extra meetings with a vague agenda. Actually, it's not nice to do that to anyone, PTSD or no.
Oh, well. Hope it's a big fat non-event. Thanks for helping me keep it in that perspective, truly thanks.
I know you will let us know what happens.
It's like the stupid things people say when I went through a divorce or had a death in the family. Add in too, that something that's a comfort to one person, isn't a comfort to another.
My guess is that the meeting is to "cover their butts". So that they can document that they "did something" after your concerns were raised. Possible too, that the legal department is making them do it.
That said, like you, I just don't know. Anxiety over not knowing...is by far the worst.
Heartfelt hugs, Patti
