I found this article on dreams that gives ideas on why some of us are plagued by nightmares with the PTSD.

Good article, it validates some of what I have been told and have come to understand about how "dreams" (more like nightmares) helpus process our trauma.

Interesting, but FAAR to simplistic a study to make a blanket statement regarding PTSD.

In addition, part of the study applies to veterans who by definition were traumatized as adults AFTER they were done developing. The picture, I believe, is more complicated for those traumatized during their formative years.

I don't think it was intended as THE only answer, just ONE answer, we each have different things that help, the fact that studies are being done and remedies sought is good news...
