I am on day 4 of Fetzima. I have started having diarrhea (sorry if TMI) this has happened with every SSRI I am on. I have tried 9 different meds in 2 years. I am so discouraged.

Has anyone had this happen? Does the diarrhea go away. I work and have trouble using a public bathroom plus I am on the road a lot for work. I am so depressed. I don't know what to do.

I have never had that particular medications Cecil but all of my medications I have ever started do that for about a week. System adjustment. Fingers and toes crossed it is a great medication for ya

Anything with high soluble fiber will help that, insoluble will make it worse. Lots of oatmeal.

Think of it as solid or unstable is how my doctor described it. Soluble fiber sucks up water

Thanks for the suggestion, Dooo. Unfortunately soluble fiber also causes the same issue. Maybe it will go away but in the past it hasn't.

Wow, I am surprised soluble does that.

I have severe digestion problems from all the trauma surgeries and at first it was that problem. I took Lomotil and it worked very well. I would ask the doc if you can take that to combat it? There are others.
