this round of school closures is sponsored by the teacher shortage which was already a problem in 2019 and has grown to epic proportions in the years of covidic chaos. i want to take it as progress that my eldest foster children (3rd and kinder) seem to have stabilized far enough to take the most recent closure in stride, but the anxiety beast is growling like a maskite confronted with an indecently exposed smile.
plying therapy tools. . . trying to get ^it^ into words. . .
support and reality checks needed.
again i leave the mood icon on the rapid cycling median.
i am fine. how are you?

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

As for how COVID is stressing me out about school, I retired early in 2021 because the pandemic had dragged on through all of 2020 with no end in sight. It was just too much as a teacher for me at this point. I can imagine how stressful it is for you parenting kids in the school system now that we're in 2022 (twenty twenty TWO--are you kidding me?) and no pandemic end is in sight.
Sending you lots of support for this, my friend.
Sending you lots of support from me too & many prayers
Big hug <3

the good news is that the crew of my no-count ship of fools seems to have spent itself yesterday. by bedtime last night, all was calm and the sleep schedules seem to be back to business-as-usual this morning. our shared stability is still new enough that it feels like a HUGE luxury to have a business-as-usual to get back to.
Big hug of comfort and support.... xo
