There are some potent stirrings on the silver platter branch of the family tree. Hubs is in crisis over it. Both his father and remaining brother are ? ? ? Still none of my White Trash business? I hope? For sure I feel much safer on my own side of the silver platter. At least I understand the rules on this side. . . Some of them. . . Sometimes. . . Most times I wish I had the Authoritative Family Rule Book to reference when needed.
Hubs is in Houston now, trying to sort through it all. I am trying my best to be supportive, but feeling pretty clueless on how to realistically accomplish that. For sure, single-handedly replacing the professional nursing staff isn't hitting my reality radar. Silver-platter patients are serious High Maintenence and my formal career is in science and engineering. Changing senior diapers has never made my personal ambition list. It amazes me that anyone can call that, "Unskilled Labor."
My mind is spinning relentlessly through countless future scenarios this morning. More scenarios than a single future can hold. I wonder if I am growing more volatile with each go-round.
Attempting to calm the anticipation. Support needed.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I'm sorry that your hubby is going through this... If they're unhappy with the support workers then perhaps it's a good thing that there's a change.... Dealing with loved ones when they're declining is so stressful ....
There is a Caring for Aging Parents board on here that used to be really active....I'm not sure if it is now or not
Silver platter in laws.... pshaw ... I'd rather hang out with the chickens... another hug and a blessing....xo
Yea, the boundary of, "Staying on my own side of the silver platter" seems to be working. I miss the chickens and dogs that are not allowed on this side of the silver platter. I am only here to ground hubs while he sorts what is his to sort. Holding steady. Can I hope for more? Some things are just plain hard and this is one of them. What happened to that cuss bucket?
Are in-laws family? I thought they were strictly legal and barely even that.
