I posted at the end of the thread where I asked for help for supporting my student whose daughter went to court against her rapist on Monday. I wanted to be sure to post thanks again in this separate thread because I think our calls for help deserve to be celebrated when they make a difference.

Thank you all. My student J. came by my office at the college today and said her daughter B. did fine with her victim's statement to the judge. I'm glad to report that J. went over that foot-dragging prosecutor's head who was so reluctant to support his own victim. And J.'s son W. has calmed down and is backing off of his understandable vigilante feelings for his sister.

J. got to the foot-dragging prosecutor's boss, and got support and satisfaction in court (such as it is we all know). J. was truly out of that anguish I saw in her when she came by my office for support Monday. Today she said even that praying with her in my office Monday (which I feared did not good) was a comfort.

A big comfort was her knowing that you all exist and were sending good thoughts and prayers from here. DS PTSD did some real good in the real world beyond just us on the site this week. Thanks to all. Truly. I doubted if I had it in me to be supportive to J, B, and W this week and so I came here, and this site's support made me able to channel support to them I alone could not have had.
