I am usually very careful about meds. I do my husband's pill boxes and mine. Well yesterday I really messed up. Fortunately is was my meds not hubby's. I picked up the pop-out box for Sunday and just opened the end compartment and took the pills. Wrong pills- I took my bedtime pills at 10 AM. Problem is that they include gabapentin- got too much in my system. Took me 3 hrs to figure out why I was so tired. Didn't know until I looked at the pill box. Managed to take some of the things I missed but the extra gabapentin has made me tired and nauseated. I hope it wears off today. Learned my lesson- look at pills before taking them.

I labele each pill bottle on is cap in big black letters so there's no mistake about the first letter of the pill in there. (When tired, I have trouble seeing small print, so labels can not always help.) Big fat X for Xanax, etc.... and I keep a log of when I wake what, in what dosage. Otherwise? I have no idea what messes I'd get into!
