Dear Mel, Friday, October 25, 2013
I have a migraine, but I am happy. I dropped off the application at the YWCA today. I also went to school & found a few new possible apartments to apply to. I turned in paperwork today for Medicaid. My appointment is on the 4th at 1:00. My PTSD has been bad. I had a bad flashback today on the bus. It was the same scene; Mom dragging me across the floor. I don't know why I keep reliving the same thing. It scares the hell out of me. I just want it to end. PTSD makes me feel so childish. After a flashback or nightmare, it's common for me to wet or poop my diaper, cry, spasm uncontrollably, be too scared to leave the house, and a host of other horrible things. Sometimes, I self injure just to ground myself after a flashback. One of the only good coping skills I have for PTSD is my teddy bear Melody. She is soft and pink and a Disney princess. Sometimes, I carry her hidden behind me in my chair all day, especially when I'm in pain or feel unsafe. Once again, I can't sleep, so I am watching an SVU marathon. I have to get a pain pill during the commercial break.
Love you always,
Fallon

Fallon you are so brave. It's good you are doing so much to change your life despite the past. Give Mel a hug for me. x

Thanks so much. Melody is also the name of my journal. Writing keeps me (somewhat) sane.

I wear Depends disposable underwear. My little secret. One of my coping secrets with PTSD.

Me too. I wear diapers because my Cerebral Palsy causes me to be incontinent. PTSD makes it worse
