Anymore what is or isn't a part of PTSD is a gray area. It depends on who you ask, who's book/article you read. I believe PTSD is individualized; we all have different combinations of symptoms. My doctors "officially" contribute my racing thoughts to my PTSD. Would another do the same? I don't know.

I recommend listening to meditation CDs and even learning to meditate. Or if that is too challenging, listen to some soft music, or anything that calms you down. It doesn't matter if your thoughts make no sense. They don't have to. Just allow them to flow through you and accept that that's what's happening without judging it as right or wrong. It may feel horrible so in that case try your best to soothe yourself in a healthy way. Hope that helps a little.
