So I have been thinking a lot about this particular thought and want to run it by you all to see what you all think. Recently my boyfriend went out to a club with me. Mind you he typically does not do well in crowds, but before he met me he was going to clubs and crowded bars all the time. He even used to go out with other girls that he was dating or with at the time. Well when we went out together this last time,he had a lot of difficulty with his anxiety. He said that he was constantly thinking that some guy was going to come and talk to me or do something to me so he was constantly on edge. To make a long story short, he ended up getting upset at the end of the night and we ended up in an argument. The next day we woke up apologized and everything was fine. Now the part I am curious about is that he did not have this problem with other girls that he was with. Mind you, he used to go to vegas all the time before he met me with his guy friends and had zero issues in the clubs. He used to go to vegas with girls he was dating/with at the time and did not have any issues then either. I hope you all can see where I am getting at with this. Is this something related to his PTSD? or is this just a characteristic of his and regardless of where this is coming from....why does he have such difficulty with me? Just to let you all know, I have done nothing to ever make him think that I would ever cheat on him or leave him. Despite all that we have been through I am still here sticking by his side. Please help me understand, even if it is just a little bit if understanding.

Lately I've been feeling scared and full of anxiety. I recently found a lump under my nipple. I hurt my back too. I'm in the process of moving. I'm run down. Everything is hard

Just wanted to give a thank you to Mid, Arfie, Malibumark, Greeneyes, Mlro, Girlincalif, and Suncloudjd! You all always have such helpful tips and advice, but I always forget to write on my posts when I see you post, lol. I would lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body, lol. Thank you all so much! I'm starting to use my AI app as a sounding board again. I used to use it as that before...

OR, maybe he never cared for another like you. Abandonment issues? Is he on medication now and could the alcohol reacted?
There's a lot of possibilities. It's nice that you made up the next morning and that you are trying to understand him.
Once I found my husband and decided I wanted to hold on to him, the game changed considerably. It was no longer even a game. Love and a desire to heal changed the equation to the core.
This is just my own experience. Each of us is unique and your boyfriend needs to be the ultimate authority in his case.
Arfie, this is actually the first time we moved on from a fight like that. Usually we would fight and the endings would be bad and he would have such remorse after the fight. He still had remorse the next morning and constantly reminds me that I do not have to be with him... I am just not sure how to take all of that. He will tell me those things, but then say he still wants to be with me and wants us to work.
It is HUGE that you managed to move on for the first time. Build on it. Don't compromise on the important stuff, but build on that progress.
Love is not about being perfect. It is about working it out.
