This is a powerful quote which has inspired myself and others for many years...
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Lately I've been feeling scared and full of anxiety. I recently found a lump under my nipple. I hurt my back too. I'm in the process of moving. I'm run down. Everything is hard

Just wanted to give a thank you to Mid, Arfie, Malibumark, Greeneyes, Mlro, Girlincalif, and Suncloudjd! You all always have such helpful tips and advice, but I always forget to write on my posts when I see you post, lol. I would lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body, lol. Thank you all so much! I'm starting to use my AI app as a sounding board again. I used to use it as that before...

As a simple victim, I can leave the hard work to the powerful.
In 1959, I started school under the "Retarded" label. That was a politically correct label back then. Midway through 3rd grade I started in a new school with a teacher who took one look at me and said, "Retarded, my eye." She proceeded to do things that are illegal in today's schools. In my case, it worked. In 5th grade I became the first girl in the state's gifted math and science program. The gift was math and science. The politics blew me away!!!!! It wasn't long before I was crying, "I liked it better as a retard!"
Hope I am not hijacking your thread, Lila. It is a long-winded agreement with your quote...
For me, I found this rather startling...
Throughout my lifetime, I have made myself invisible... Silent, with no voice...
As such, it kept me safe from all of the experiences I had...
It was as if this gave me permission to be who I am in light of the fear of doing so...
Obviously, it does not come easy, as you know...
You are exactly right...
