This article will not be a revelation to anyone here but I post it because I found it to be particularly helpful to share with others. It seems that people are becoming more and more informed and personally acquainted with mental health issues these days but there are still so so many that do not understand, and what's worse, cannot sympathize with those suffering from PTSD. It's a simple article but it was short and to the point (so not too long for the short attention spans of today).

Wow, that's the best "PTSD in a nutshell" article I ever did see. And with that long list of research links at the end. PTSD is so hard to explain, this will take a load off of me.

Holy shit, a light bulb just went off! I have complex PTSD caused by long term childhood abuse. I'll be talking to my psychologist about this, although I think I may need to see a psychiatrist. Thanks for sharing!

Happy to hear all the positive responses. Like I said, idk if there's any "new" info here (although sounds like there may have been and that's even better!) but I thought this was a great piece for explaining some of the basics that I can't seem to explain myself. I'm glad it's been helpful.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
