3 specific things I just needed to say

Tomorrow it will be 4 weeks into this Fall semester at my college. There have been challenges, but with support they've been met, so I felt it was time to return my gratitude to everyone. I wanted to say 3 specific things and give thanks:
1. For supporting me when triggered by how a student who may have vandalized my car last semester turned up in a new class again this Fall. So far, so good, no incidents in classes. Instead, I've been able to refer to our solidarity here at DS PTSD in classes as a model for my students to follow.
2. For supporting me as I started my monthly speaking on PTSD and recovery in churches again last Sunday, speaking about our DS PTSD support for one another and suggesting church people do the same. After speaking at a church this past Sunday, 11 church members took me out to lunch and we talked until 3 in the afternoon about PTSD recovery from what we share at DS PTSD.
3. For supporting my going back to Uruguay last month where war conditions as a child gave me PTSD in the first place. This past Monday of this week my best friend since I came to the USA in 1977 visited me. He went with me down to Uruguay in August of 2014 as my witness to PTSD healing since the war. He stood with me there on the street corner where I survived a car bombing. So this week I gave him a full, good report of my return again for more healing this past August of 2015.
Thank you for your support in those 3 things this past month. I've been tired, sometimes I've been frightened, one night this month I truly felt too overwhelmed. But every day this month I've had a hug or a message of support from one of you here at DS PTSD that's kept me going.
I made a commitment when I came here years ago to do my best to make PTSD recovery support given here online effective in real ways in my PTSD recovery life offline, and to share it with others wherever I could. Things are off to a good start.
I just wanted to acknowledge those 3 specific things with my gratitude. Every day, DS PTSD is making a difference in my life going forward one day at a time. I hope I give back what I get here, because I couldn't do it without the daily strength I get from you at DS PTSD.
I know there are more challenges ahead, there always are. I just wanted to stop right now and say thank you while I can before I get caught up in the next set of challenges to come.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

You give so much here.
Gentle puma purrs to you, Muji, and we're glad to be here and to have your support in return.
That something I learned here at DS PTSD, by the way, seeing the members with recovery growth behind them here do that from time to time. Not a bad thing to take a positive inventory periodically, huh?
You have turned a hurt into a halo as Robert Schuller used to say... Big hug...xo
At work today a student I had last semester came to my office hour to ask me in detail about PTSD. She's got 2 veterans in her family who need some help.
Then I was eating lunch and some students came racing up to my table to get me to run to help another former student of mine. She has having a panic attack slumped down against the wall on the floor in the hallway, crying and hyperventilating. We got the dean and the head of security to her so they could get her to some help.
Lots of hurts needing to become halos out there in the world these days, huh? Makes you want to just throw your arms around the world, but I guess only God's arms would ever be big enough for that.
Hurts into halos...
