Hi there.
I'm operating under a legal "gag order," so ... I have to keep many names and details quiet. Many of you will understand.

I've been diagnosed with Complex PTSD and Disorders of Extreme Stress Not Otherwise Specified (DESNOS).
Maybe those terms are familiar to some of you ;-)
I'm not doing well. I'm battling horrible insomnia, my eyes and health are a wreck, and ... I'm /generally/ afraid. Agoraphobia. Fear of being in the open, and around other people.
Since my particular issue doesn't have me as afraid of seeing/encountering an INDIVIDUAL as ... encountering intolerance, judgment, and discrimination ... I'm quite paralyzed as to how to move forward.
I thought I moved into a warm, welcoming community, but ... when I asked for a "reasonable accommodation" (legal term), they turned on me, viciously.
Ending up with me being "taken down" by the SWAT team, going to jail, and trying to resolve felony charges.
As many of you would understand ... the victim ... got victimized again.
Visually impaired, I've read as much as I /can/ about PTSD, coping mechanisms, avoidance mechanisms, treatment options, etc., but ... well understand ... there's no magic pill.
I'm thinking about leaving the country, though I'm aware that my medical issues -- old and new -- will travel with me, wherever I go.
I can't ask any specific questions, just yet, and ... from what I've seen ... answers are few and far between.
I just wanted to introduce myself, and offer my sincere sympathy and compassion for those of you experiencing this breed of hell.
I've gone through a lot in my life. Much of it is behind me, but ... this new bit ... doesn't have any upside, huh ?

There are plenty of nice people on this website who can relate to what you are going through. I am really sorry for all you have been through with jail etc. You are right, your problems will travel with you if you move to another country, and you would have to do so legally to become a citizen of that country so that you could get benefits there. I have tried the move for feeling better and it just doesn't work. In terms of housing with accommodations, you may need to go through social services. If you are homeless and go to a shelter, then you will likely get housing assistance faster than if you get on a waiting list for housing. That all depends on income, but I believe just calling to talk to someone about needing accommodations may get you some information on places that do have these.
