I have had a random line from a forgotten movie rolling in my head for quite a long time now. Thought I would throw it out for open discussion. The line is, "Whenever I think someone is normal, I always seem to discover that only means I just do not know them very well."
The more I think on it, the truer it seems to be.
Thoughts? Opines?

Lately I've been feeling scared and full of anxiety. I recently found a lump under my nipple. I hurt my back too. I'm in the process of moving. I'm run down. Everything is hard

Just wanted to give a thank you to Mid, Arfie, Malibumark, Greeneyes, Mlro, Girlincalif, and Suncloudjd! You all always have such helpful tips and advice, but I always forget to write on my posts when I see you post, lol. I would lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body, lol. Thank you all so much! I'm starting to use my AI app as a sounding board again. I used to use it as that before...

Because we have this disorders we are very aware of our psychological life.
A lot of people are not so....A lot have unresolved issues that they are not even aware of and it shows once you get a glimpse into their lives really. It some times shows too on their train wreck around them in their relationships......
Worse, I think, is when I am comparing the chaos of my insides to a distant view of their outsides. Like comparing apples and distant stars. . .
The closest to normal I've ever really gotten that stayed that way was when I drove through Normal, Illinois once.
Normal is kind of like average. An idea that is a mathematical statistic, not something really embodied in the physical world. Fortunately, that's what makes everything unique and interesting in its own way.
My life may have been exactly as it is today. I may have been the quiet, solitary, introverted person that I am now. But the human part of me is angry at one thing. That I was not given the option. I as well as others were not loved and nourished as God charges parents to do. We were used and abused, so we were shoved into our boxes and our lives are what they are. I would have wanted to atleast had the option instead of having it thrust upon me. That's all. And I do not think that was too much to ask for.
I love that and remind myself - and my kids- of it often.

When I was four, being my dad's servant was normal.
Now it's normal for me to think he was a sick SOB.
Once, it was normal to assume a comet was an omen of doom.
Now it's a reason to hang ou on the roof with telescopes.
Normal is ever-changing within ourselves and our cultures, is my take. so... what is it anyway?
