You need sleep, you need safety, and so does your family. You need better than a nurse prac. Many are good but many are not. Please, even if it's just an ER (Medicaid?), a medical assessment by a psychiatrist MD can do you more good than I can.
Gentlest healing to you....
Some colleges will ask for and offer sleep tests as part of the student training. Some even pay you for your time.
As to the medicines, ask your pharmacist about the side effects of the combined doses you are taking. Doctors/NP's don't always consider our hyperactivity plays a role in the side effects we have. I get very anxious when I feel foggy...which of course is too late to un-take the med that made me feel that way.
A bedside journal, write down your dreams, times you know you are awake. Note the patterns and if you see anything amiss. I did this and it helped to change the timing of certain meds so they didn't interact with each other as strongly.
Keep posting and use the journal here. The things may show a pattern in relation to what is also going on... I hear fear in not being able to support your living arrangement? So asking for help of member in the house utilizing your resources and cutting some extra's on the budget if you can may help?
Gentle hugs, I don't believe you are doing anything wrong or someone else would be calling the cops, ambulance. But the feeling of not being in control. which is often how most of our trauma's happen, may be causing/triggering your fear and anxiety.
For me it's when I know I can sink my nails into plaster and crawl up a wall in a second's time.
