Some is human nature, some is ignorance, some they're not very samrt, some are narcissists or very selfish, some are evil, some live at very basic leve of consciousness, some are ill, some just assholes.....
People never cease to amaze me, that is why i prfer to isolate. Its safer that way.
With that said there are very few but good quiality people out there and sometimes they too are just human and do make poor decisions or mistakes...
Nature of the beast, us humans.

Some things are just not worth giving attention to, much less acting upon!! Like Ale said, we are only human after all.
A common belief is that we have to react, based on some primal instinct. An example is a comment like "he made me angry." That isn't so! Our reactions are always based on choice, even if they feel reflexive.
When people are thoughtless, rude, aggressive, I usually remind myself that they simply don't know any better. They think they are doing whatever they have to, in order to gain an equitable advantage in life.
People in that state may think they are awake, but in reality, they are only semi-conscious, because they have so limited self-insight, and they view the world as a projection of their own dysfunctional perception.
Hence the words of Jesus, "Forgive them father, they know not what they do."
Ask yourself this... Is knowing why automatically going to bring you comfort or a sense of peace? Probably not.
We often want some grand reason as to why people do the things they do, when oftentimes it's just because they could.
I am still fragile after dealing with someone who would start berating me for doing something different than the way he does it - this after 2+ years of dating! And, it was never important!
After some time, I figure he was just high on alcohol and it gave him a feeling of superiority.
Reply #5: After a few demeaning episodes, I started defending myself and the last battle was because I left my sandals near the stairwell - he called me downstairs to say I was trying to make him fall! It was so bizarre, I got my things together and left - no contact and it is so peaceful!
Understanding the WHY of everything does bring me closure a lot.......Understanding that my siblings are a book case of OCDPD with malignant narcissist personalities has bring me closure in regards to them.
Of course i was never able to talk to them or anything but i understand now.I also now they are goners, there's no point in trying to have any contact with those type of people...
The more i understood narcissism the more i realized that...
I guess we do have personality type for me understanding brings closure.
