Fear... not something I thought I felt. In my head I don't feel scared, or feel like I am unsafe. I am in a safe place now, and the abuse is long over. However my therapist thinks otherwise. She says she can see it in my body language, body tremors, and in the expressions on my face when I dissociate. There has been something holding me back from talking about what happened. Could it really be fear? after all these years? That seems barbaric to me. Could it be fear that stops me from moving on?

Lately I've been feeling scared and full of anxiety. I recently found a lump under my nipple. I hurt my back too. I'm in the process of moving. I'm run down. Everything is hard

Just wanted to give a thank you to Mid, Arfie, Malibumark, Greeneyes, Mlro, Girlincalif, and Suncloudjd! You all always have such helpful tips and advice, but I always forget to write on my posts when I see you post, lol. I would lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body, lol. Thank you all so much! I'm starting to use my AI app as a sounding board again. I used to use it as that before...

Just as it is the nature of social conditioning to be, "Fine" under whatever circumstances are plaguing your current day.
Don't know if fear is what stops you from moving on, or not. That would be yours to sort, but I hope you will be genuinely fearless in exploring the question.
Gentle support while you sort.
