Hey Guys and Gals,
First I hope all of you made it through the Holidays o.k.!! I would like to say Happy New Year to you all and I will pray continuously for you all. Well I need some advice. My ptsd stemed from 2 rapes one at age 13 and one at age 14. Many other things snowballed it, but what really made it flare up was my daughters molestation at our church about 2yrs ago. My dilema is that my wife is the Pastor's asst. and we were and involved a lot with the Church. My wife still is, and I try to be. Well the problem is that every Sat. night I go through hell because I know the next day we are going to church. My faith is still there and Jesus is always with me. However I have not been able to relax or sit through a service in over a year because of what happened here. I love most of the people here but it is putting major stress on me. I do not want to let the enemies(ptsd and Satan) win by going to another Church. What should I do. I do not know if this makes any sense, because I am at Church know and my thoughts are racing. Sean, how does your daughter feel about attending this church?
If you feel unable to attend this particular church at this time, could you attend another one while you work through and get help to heal? I hear what you are saying. Your feelings are perfectly understandable. God wants you to hear Him and He wants you and your daughter to heal and find comfort in Him and His people no matter where you attend church.
