Yeah, as a male who was raped at age 10 I spoke about it to my mom to get help and was re-traumatized instead by the beating I got "to make me a man." It was pretty twisted.

I am not surprised men are taught to not deal with their emotions and talking about it would mean maybe being ridicule and called a "panty, whimp"ect....

my bestie and i were talking about this last night. guys are very much a silent victim. he struggles with it. with women yes they get the brunt of the blow from those who say you deserved it, but the men they are sposed to be all macho and powerful. it is a little more "accepted" when a male rapes a male, but if a guy tries to say a female raped him that's when he gets badgered into silence.

This is terrible. All these rapes and the statistics on them. Not that I don't appreciate it. That they exist. That so many people are raped and end up with an illness for life. How do we stop the rape? Raping children...Monstrous. Monsters. Mine started before I could even talk. Monsters.

Makes two of us Mila. Both my brother and myself. I have no cognitive memory of any of it, but I know it happened because I have almost every symptom of child abuse. Plus I confronted my perpetrator and the animal admitted it. Sick, hideous, filthy, evil....no words do it it's proper justice or explain the negative effects it has on our lives.
