Post Partum Depression Support Group
Postpartum depression (also postnatal depression) is a form of major depression which can affect women, and less frequently men, after childbirth. It is widely considered to be treatable. Studies report prevalence rates from 5% to 25%, but methodological differences among the studies make the actual prevalence rate unclear.
I'd highly reccomend and In person Support group. I had pretty bad PPD after the birth of my first daughter. I spent nearly the entire day crying and feeling as if I was failing her. I still struggle with anxiety now after the birth of my second and feel like I get overwhelmed quickly. But i'd say when I finally did reach out to people and joined a moms group it helped to alleviate some of my more intense symptoms since I realized I wasn't alone in the majority of my thinking. Being a Mom is so hard. Hope this is helpful.
