glad you finally got a dx but sorry you had to go through so much & then got ms. It can be a rotten disease sometimes & other times it will settle.
I hope you get on the Gilenya as I find it very good. It may take a little bit to settle the ms & side effects. ]
There is also groups for those on Gilenya.
GOD 'S ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55) GOD Bless you !!!!!!!
Has anyone heard of cerebellar degeneration or spino-cerebellar degeneration ?
"I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me" Philippians 4:13.
I am hoping this group is going to provide me with what I am looking for.
I was officially diagnosed with MS on May 1st. For about a year and a half before that I had gone to several doctors, the latest of which told me I had MS. She didn't really have a good reason for it and she would tell me things like, "hmm...I have never seen this before" or "I don't know what that means". I was really frustrated and I finally went to an MS clinic which confirmed the diagnosis, explained their reasoning, and made a plan for the future. When I got my diagnosis, I had already pretty much come to terms with the fact that I had MS.
I don't let MS define me. It is not who I am, it is just something I have, like brown hair or blue eyes. I don't let it prevent me from doing things. I don't need people to tell me what could happen in the future. I don't need to hear, "well, it is good you can still do that." I understand all the implications of having MS. I know what could happen. I have done the research.
I am looking for a support group that is positive! I have been trying to surround myself with supportive, positive people. I understand the need to vent and there is a time and place for that. I want somewhere I can go to hear positive things people are doing and achieving, even with this diagnosis!
