If true anesthesia where they put you to sleep, then you need to talk to the anesthesiologist, that is not a typical reaction...
Best to you, Shawna
Try different water temperature adjustments and see if this helps!
I went to the Specialist... I don't recall being told anything to do specifically but it eventually got better.
Showers - ugh.. same response with me too.. in fact when I was crashing 2 years ago (after all this started).. I would just "melt" after each shower.. i'd lie on the ground outside of the shower unable to get up and walk, unable to hardly breathe, swallow etc!! I couldnd't smile or even make the "crying" face- which made me more upset! Heat and showers did me in before IVIG.. still my symptoms are much exacerbated since it's become warmer here though too
Shawna - general anesthesia I tend to have some respiratory issues coming out of it .. but my epidural with my son 2.5 years ago - affected my severely.. my same areas that are affected with this mess were affected- my tip of my tongue both arms and more in my right leg than left (though left still affected) and breathing - they were about to intubate me.. In my pictures the first time I was holding my son my hands were basically paralyzed still and look really strange- not to mention the snarl of a smile I had on my face and slurred speech! ugh! it was crazy!!!! - thus why I don't want to do a muscle biopsy unless it's under local
When i am in a flare, showers kill me too, but now i am doing well, and i love a hot shower or bath. it increases my blood flow to my sore muscles and i feel great afterwards, ready to exercise...
Hope you can find some answers soon,
Shawna
