I have been trying for days to logon and could not remember my password and when I requested a new one, I never received it, so I decided to try it again today and the system finally sent me one. I seem to be getting worst as I taper down my Prednisone. I can be talking about something with someone and totally forget what I was saying. Or I will be thinking one word and a different one will come out my mouth. My daughter tries to get me to remember things and I just can't. I am reading more and trying to keep my brain active. I have been busy lately preparing to move to a first floor location and even that requires me to write down everything. I hope that it gets better since one of the things that I pride myself on is my memory and being able to multi-task. I support myself with my brain-power. I miss you all.

Glad to see you back, Brenda. I will pray about your memory issues, as I know they are frustrating to us. For awhile I used a supplement called NeuroPS (phosphotidylserine--sp?) for my memory. I also use omega-3 oil for the same reason. Hang in there! It will get better.

I have the same thing happening to me. I have been working with the Occupational therapist doing memory excercises. I also have to write things down. I forget what Im saying in mid sentence sometimes. I cant overload my brain with too much information at the same time either. I also find the prednisone to make me very irratable at times.

Brenda, Cushing's Syndrome is a side effect of using prednisone. It is steroids on the brain and it causes severe memory recall problems. I have severe recall problems. I get upset when I try to repeat a lesson I did last year with my music class and I can not remember a simple song! You may want to google Cushing's Syndrome. Do not cry when you realize that you too may have this issue. I have a kidney infection and idiopathic fibrosis of the lung caused by methotrexate. The kidney problem is also related to having osteoporosis. Our bodies are connected and one thing causes another thing. Good Luck.

brenda i too have memory problems and its so frustrating. i have lists for everything. i am currently waiting for an MRI to check my brain....not sure if it will show anything but it sure is scary not remembering. I even have a hard time reading, knitting needlepoint everything, especially if I'm too tired I can't figure out how to do it. I just have to stop and go back to it another time. crazy I hope your memory gets better....hugs!!

Same thing for me, drives me nuts. I get so mad at myself when it happens. I have a notebook I carry with me and when I think of something I want to get done or ask someone a question I write it down. That part is going good but it is things that I am currently doing that I may forget what I was going to do or say is not so great. I may remember later, but usually not.
