My daughter and I have always been so very close. I have 3 sons who are much older than she is. I was a more patient parent when she came along, plus the fact that I had a daughter, made me very thankful. She and I have had our ups and downs in life, moving from place to place and my up and down mental health due to anxiety, which is so much better, and job situations which have not always been so great and I believe that has made us even closer.
She knows that I love her as if she is my own heart and I know that she loves me the same. She will be 25 yrs old in Oct and she has never been a disappointment and she values life and loves God. She came in from work last night and while I was walking she gave me a big bear hug. I love having her in my life. I just have to express to her that I don't want her to wrap her life totally around me. I have to convince her that there are many things that I can do on my own and that I want her to go on with her own growth and development.
My thigh took a while to quit hurting too. I don't remember how long ago your biopsy was but be mindful to watch for anything that looks like infection. Can you put your feet up more while you are sitting? That will help with the swelling.
When I eat out I just try to keep my carbohydrates low. I'd eat something with protein (chicken, meat, cheese, egg) and some green veggies like a salad or side dish of veggies. That way I don't have to test myself at the restaurant. This Diabetes II is a trip by itself huh!
Hugs,
Lauren
My doctor's visit was good. My labs were good, even my CK, which surprises me. I started back on my Cellcept and now will wait to see what happens with that. We went to Red Lobster, where I hadn't been since 1995 and it was nice, not the best that I have eaten, but nice to be out and have shrimp. I had reviewed the nutritional chart prior to going and didn't have anything that I shouldn't have. In fact I tested my bg before I ate and it was at 68, so I was good. I did get heartburn afterwards, which I haven't had in a few years, but I have meds to take for it. I am now taking it easy and enjoying a hot cup of tea.
