Hi i have had DM for 6 years now and as you all know you can have times when you feel good. And times when you have a flare up.Due to stress i am not able to get up with terrible fatigue, and painful muscles. This has been going on for about nearly three months.I cant even hold a phone to my ear for more than a couple of minutes without my arm shaking.I gave up my job last july. But my friend has told me i might be entittled to dla.does anyone know if this is right? My husband does get a good wage.so maybe im barking up the wrong tree.I have always worked my whole life since leaving school, even went back when my son was 4 wks old. I dont want to be jobless,im used to bringing my own contribution for the family. But at least if i got this i could say to my hubby theirs a wee help.(even though he is not caring about it.)But i do!its sooo frustrating,i hate being ill!!!!

In the United States, you can apply for Social Security Disability. I don't know how it works in Great Britian. Good luck in your search.

I think applying for SSI would be a good idea. Get an attorney to help you fill out the paperwork. For a job, I would contact a doctors office and see if you could work at home doing medical coding. Many schools and community colleges teach medical coding and this is something you could do. I personally am considering this if I no longer have the stamina to teach school. I just started with DM in January so I do not have the long term problems that so many people are experiencing.

I receive disability, though it took two years to get and a whole lo of Medical examiners from their insurance company plus countless court hearings to finally get it. I still work as a cruise agent, but can't put in enough hours to really get it off the ground. I get all of my referals through word of mouth and have developed wonderul friendships with so many of them. I'll never get rich off of what I do, but the feeling of accomplishment I get is worth much more than money to me as I love what I do.

the medical coding from home jobs are VERY far and few between, they only let experienced coders work from home... those ads are very misleading. (i am a medical biller)

Thank you bambam x Lexfull i dont know what a medical coder does.i have done some dispensing for a pharmacy before but had to leave because of all the time i had off(got cellulitis twice, and was hospitalised both times.) I am hoping that once i feel better i can do some parttime work, maybe a day or two.I also have a family of boy thirteen(I am thinking of changing his name to kevin from kevin and perry )due to all the hormones hes got flying about.i only have to say his name and he starts arguing with me lol.I also have a energetic, and never stops talking girl of eight. They certainly keep me on my toes.eddiesgal i am glad that you enjoy your work and get a lot of enjoyment out of it,its what you deserve. But what makes me angry is that people like us have to fight for what we are entittled to in the first place. I have had to rely on my husband for about 7 years. We have many debts, its a lot to put on his shoulders,my husband used to be a financial adviser but when i got breast cancer we were in theprocess of moving to london,so we sold the house and canceled the insurance which would have entittled us to 100000 pounds, how unlucky is that! BUT I STILL HAVE MY LIFE which is far more important and i thank god every single day. xxxxx

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
