Polymyositis (PM) is a type of chronic inflammation of the muscles (inflammatory myopathy) related to dermatomyositis and inclusion body myositis. The inflammation is predominantly of the endomysium in polymyositis, whereas dermatomyositis is characterized by primarily perimysial inflammation.
in light of the previous post about adoption i would like to start a discussion regarding pregnancy and Myo.
I am 25 and have been married for 2 years and am feeling like im getting closer to wanting to have a baby. Okay, im lying i have wanted to for about a year now.. lol does anyone out there have an stories or experiences to share about pregnancy and myo? i have been off all meds for about 7 months now and im continuing to gain strengthen with no set backs so far. *knock on wood* i think next appt im going to discuss the option with my doc.

My latest appointment gave me much hope also! they said their biggest concern is the meds ! well...im not on any meds :D and im almost 100% normal strength! its almost been a year too! :)
