Hello everyone. I am glad to find a dermatomyositis forum. The start of my journey was pretty annoying. I went through three doctors and they all thought what I had was an allergic reaction. It started in December, rash appeared on my chest,face and hands. I have no known allergies but they say that you can become allergic to something over time. So i thought hard about what could be the factor. Then my joints started to hurt and my muscles became weak. I went to see a Dermatologist a few weeks ago. I got a biopsy done and was confirmed that i have dermatomyositis. This disease has been hard to deal with, especially at work and my life style. Im a person who likes to stay active, i have found it hard lately to do that.well i hope i can get through this...
