Brooke: Just spoke to the doctor, I am extremely lucky to be alive. I have a 10cm incision where they had to cut me to save my life to fix the ilieac artery they severed. My pelvis filled with blood, I'm in agony and not out of the woods yet I am having trouble with my lungs. I am lucky I did not bleed to death, it is a miracle. I can feel all your prayers and love, thankyou, I love you all!
Brooke asked me to pass this on. Please keep those prayers coming!!
The news I have now is Brooke is still in ICU, she lost 3 litres of blood (the body only has 5!) and after 9 blood transfusions she is as you'd imagine feeling like Cr*p! However is fighting strong! She is having some issues with her lungs, but is stable.
I plan to try and give her a call sometimes this afternoon if it is possible, she has told me I can call, but I will continue to keep in contact and keep you all updated.
Thankyou for the prayers, she appreicates them so much! She loves you all :)
I just got off the phone to Brooke. She wont be out of hospital she doesn't believe untill Thursday or after. What happened was a freak accident, the Endometriosis had moved the main atery that connected in the stomach area, and this is how it was sevvered. She is concidered by the doctors a 'walking miracle' they can't fathem how she survived.
While she is still very ill, I think it is somewhat safe to say she is stable. Of course any updates I will keep you all posted.
Brooke wants you to know her thoughts and prayers are being read by her on here, bringing tears to her eyes and giving her the strength to continue her fight so please keep them coming :)
In an update her gyno is instructing a 10 blood transfusion as her haemoglobian, potassium and magnesium levels are dangerously low. I will keep you updated as promised on anymore news.
Brooke is going in now for an operation as they have found a blood clot in her left leg after it went completely numb.
I could sense she was scared on the phone as one would be after the first operation. She told me I might not hear from her for a couple of days.
Please keep praying!
Brooke was put into a Coma they removed 3 clots. She is still in a critical condition and has a ventilator in to help her breathe and has lots of tubes in her (not too sure what that means).
Please keep those prayers coming!
As of today Brooke has had 14 blood transfusions, one plasma transufsion and 1 platlette transfusions. Her heamoglobin dropped suddenly overnight and they are worried. Shes just had another CT scan as her legs are hurting where they took out the 3 blood clots from yesterday. Ill let you all know more when I know.
Brooke is urging everyone to donate blood for people who need it as am I !!!
