I'm sorry your family aren't being more supportive of you. It's not trivial. I feel like you're sister is being quite insensitive and selfish, whereas you're being thoughtful by not committing to something when hopefully you won't be able to go.
How did you go with the fertility specialist? Fingers crossed things are going well for you.

Thanks for your reply. It turns out I was right not to commit to anything. Since writing my post I started on metformin and was pregnant within a month! I didn't even make it to the infertility appointment instead I had an early pregnancy scan :) my sister soon quietened down her opinions.
I'm now 16 weeks pregnant. I can't believe after all that stress and worry! And I hope this serves as a hopeful story to anyone reading this going through a similar thing. Don't panic, you never know what might happen!
