It is true that provera will not induce ovulation just the shedding. however just bc u have PCOS does not mean u cannot get pregnant! Theres no real answer to ur question about having a higher, lower, or equal chance. you can go years without ovulating then all of a sudden one month u ovulate. Its all about timing and u never can tell with PCOS when that timing will occur. ur best bet is to get another dr. or go to planned parenthood they wont turn u down for BC. good luck.
