So I've recently been diagnosed with PCOD but I know I've had it since I was teen. I'm 26 and I have had my tubes tied. I have two children. OK so I didn't have a period in April,may, June of 2016. I knew something was wrong because my periods never have just stopped. I wasn't pregnant because I took 5 tests. So I went to the doc to find out my left ovary was 3 times the size it was supposed to be. He said wait three weeks and come back. During the second week of waiting, I started bleeding. When I went to the doc, my cyst's had ruptured. In the ultrasound you could see 6-7 cysts on each ovary. He started me on a birth control pill to help compress them and help with pain. I have since then had acid reflux problems so bad that my neck muscles were contracting every 1 min and 30 seconds. I have a lump in my gallbladder so I have to have it checked out. I have horrible leg pain to where I can't stand or put pressure on it. My teeth are getting holes in them and my gumline is falling causing cavitys at the gumline. My teeth have been killing me. It seems every symptom of this disease, I have them!!

The ovarian cysts grow when the reproductive system of a woman is functioning normally and she is having her normal menstrual cycles. The ovaries produce follicles, one of which matures into an egg each month. The process occurs normally in most cases. In certain conditions, these follicles do not rupture and rather turn into a fluid filled cyst. Other causes of ovarian cysts can be due to some dermoid reaction due to entrapment of hair follicle or sebum follicle. There could be cysts of corpus luteum origin.
