Femara worked for me. I dont know why he does the combination. And clomid screws with your mucus and can make the environment inside you harsh to the sperm. They are now selling pre-seed at cvs and its the only approved lubricant that is sperm friendly. Try it and put your bottom up on a pillow for 20 minutes I know docs say you dont have to do it but I have done it every time and I have gotten pregnant. And femara works sooo much better. I dont understand the combo though of both drugs is he doing mid cycle u/s to see if you have follicles that are developed? Ovarian drilling get a second opinion before you do it.

I know i have tons of eggs but they are not maturing and releasing....the dr said my body produces more testostrone, especially that Im over weight....so we will see how good my body responds to the femara & clomid....

I just had ovarian drilling done because my body is too sensative to the hormones. I am still recovering, but you are the first person who has mentioned anything about ovary drilling. I had 24 hours to make a decision because I had a lap scheduled for endo and my doc wanted to do both at the same time. I'm hoping the drilling works for me, and I hope the combo works for you. :-)

Painful. It wasn't too bad, I don't think. I had a lap to get rid of endo a year and a half ago, and this one has been longer recovery. I'm about 10 days in from recovery and finally able to start functioning. The area where my ovaries are is still very tender. If I get pregnant soon, it'll be well worth it. :-)

Have you doc give you a trigger shot to release the eggs. Thats what mine did and now I have a healthy happy 8 month old. The trigger will help your body release the egg not invasive just a shot in the butt.

Clomid didn't work for me either. My problem was not as much with regulating my cycles as getting my eggs to mature and release. I am trying to lose weight and am taking Vitex to help balance out my hormones a little better. I just switched doctors too because my previous one basically said there was nothing else she could do. I'm hoping my new doctor is more willing to work with me on this. Good luck with your next treatment! Are you seeing an RE? I would consider it if you aren't.

how is vitex workin for you? I also hear geritol is great too....

I'm sorry clomid didn't work for you. It didn't work for me either... I don't think you are close to being out of options. I am now on injectable and IUI with the trigger shot.
You can't take the shot unless your eggs are already mature. The shot jsut makes them "drop" I already purchased the shot and it was 100 dollars. but, I purchased it with a bunch of progesterone; injectables and suppositories. I guess it depends on your insurance and what state you live in.
Vitex... if you are going to take that you should let your doctor know for sure. I was taking it for a while and when I was reffered to my RE he told me to stop ASAP. I could go on about it but, I guess it's inconsecuential.

thanks for the info...where did you buy purchase ur shots...I have good med insurance but they don't cover my fertility meds and they are expensive...I will talk to my dr about these shots....
