I have been taking Medroxyprogesterone 2 times a day for the first five days of every month for about 7 months now. I was told by my doctor to come back for a check up after 6 months. FINALLY, I was able to land an appointment, and it happened to be the exact day after Hurricane Sandy arrived. (I live in NY very close to an area that was hit hard.) I figured that my appointment would be cancelled. I never filled my script because I assumed the appointment would still be on and if I was told to continue the medication I could pick it up on the way home. LONG STORY SHORT my doc's office has been closed and I haven't been able to get through to them. I already missed the first day of medication. Today I tried to fill my script and my pharmacy's systems are down! I was told I can try tomorrow but they aren't sure if everything will go back normal! From what I was told I am not supposed to stop taking this medication abruptly which raises a concern. Tomorrow marks day 2 without my medicine. What should I do? Just stop taking it? Or wait until my pharmacy can refill my script and start my 5 days on that day? I am so upset over this. My schedule is finally normal with the medication and now this all happens. Any ideas?
