Is there any hope for me?

I am 35 yrs old and to say that Ihear my biological clock winding down is and understatement. I was diagnosed with pcos based on symptons, not actualy having a cyst. To top it off I have weight issues, coupled with diabetes and hypothyroidism (both of which are supposedly under control). My biggest dream growing up was to have kids and I feel like I am not a real woman because I have not had any success getting pregnant. I feel like I am such a lose and that my boyfriend will leave me because I am having trouble getting pregnant.

There is hope for you I promise. I know it sucks having trouble conceiving because of pcos. I'm going through they same thing in that department. It feels like it's never going to happen but I'm sure if it's supposed to happen, it it. And talk to your bf about what you feel and what you're going through, I'm sure he'll understand. And know that you're not a loser.

I can relate to you. I am 39 and trying for the first time to have a baby. I also have hypthyroidism and PCOS and I was overweight no matter how much I ran while in the Navy. But then stopped running after I got out and gained more weight. I had pretty much stopped having periods until doctor gave me Provera to make me have a period, also I was sent to an endocrenologist for my thryroid and she put me on a thyroid pill and told me to lose weight. The thyroid pill helped me lose 10 lbs. but I go up and down with that because I don't eat right. I still eat like a 10 year old kidd. And then the Clomid is helping me to ovulate. All of this has helped my self asteem, which sounds like your biggest problem. We are all here to help remedy the self asteem issue. Hugs

I am too young to probably give you advice because I am only 20 and I have never tried to get pregnant so I dont know how hard it is. I have had PCOS for 9 years now. I know there is hope. I have heard of some women who have been having trouble getting pregnant but it suddenly just happens. Tell your boyfriend he just needs to trust you and that this is something that you cannot just push to happen. It happens when the time is right. Hang in there. There is hope, don't ever forget that.

Sweetie, I am in the same boat. I turn 40 August 29th of this year. No children, just two lost pregnancies of twins each time. I don't allow pregnancy or children to make me feel more of a woman. Each day how I live my life and take care of myself defines me and who I am. We are defined by who we are inside, not that we can pro-create. I met a wonderful guy who wants children badly. He is African, so children are important to him. Still, he knows my condition and the statistics. He still accepts me and that is what you need, an accepting man. Stress over not getting pregnant can actually cause you not to get pregnant. Talk to him. See how he feels. Maybe you will find someone who is in your corner more than you know.
