Wow.. I said it.. I have felt guilty posting this on here, but I wanted to know if I was alone in this. Since we have had trouble getting pregnant, my husband hasnt been able to ejaculate during intercourse.. I know it is a mental block because he can do it otherwise. I know it is as stressful for him as it is for me. I know he thinks that it could be his issue, not only my PCOS thats preventing us from getting pregnant... but now add this on to everything else, and I am overwhelmed. Looks like we will have to do an IUI to get pregnant. Has anyone on here had to have one for that reason? I am hoping that getting pregnant will fix his issue, and that its temporary. I feel so bad for him. So, I would appreciate any input on this topic. I am new to all of this, just recently (FINALLY) being diagnoses with PCOS. I dont even know what questions to ask my doctor reguarding the IUI, how to request one... Can we do that? Just say, well, I think this is our only option, set one up? I will be put on Metformin (SP?) tomorrow, how soon after that could you get an IUI? Thanks in advance!
Anyways back to you, the dr's can withdraw sperm from his bladder after it's emptied and do an IUI after sperm washing. Like I said it may not be the issue for you but may be something you might want to look into or remember for future reference.
